It has been over a month since I wrote anything here, it's not that there has been nothing to write about as much as that I was just busy and exhausted. When I had time to write I decided instead to relax and watch Netflix or read a book.
October has been an awesome and pretty busy month! Jay had a birthday and turned 26, we celebrated with donuts, coffee, a trip to the war museum, pumpkin pie and dinner at a local pub. We also celebrated Thanksgiving with Nicole with lots of vegetables and a hike at Gatineau Park.
Also this month, I went to a friends bridal shower and then Jay and I went to a tinkerbell birthday party for their adorable daughter.
Jay's fall frisbee league just ended, and even though the temperature dropped below zero this week I didn't miss a single game, one week I even brought cookies! They finished the season in 3rd place, losing 2nd place by 1 point in a nail biter!
Friday night Jay, Nicole and I headed out for a Sens game. They played the, formerly mighty, ducks and lost with a final score of 2-1. It was fun to get out to a game since we hadn't gone since 2011. Jay kept saying, "Relax, it's just a game" but it had little impact as I was too excited. Live sports just sends me over the edge, I can't manage my excitement.
Work has been good, but busy for both Jay and I. My job is amazing, I love the kiddos and I am really finding my voice as an educator but there are some days where it really feels like work! Most of the time though I am just so glad to have a job that I am passionate about. Jay has been working long hours but he is also back in a place of loving his job, which is leading to greater motivation on his behalf too.
Ok, now for the photos. It's a months worth of photos, so forgive the varied nature of this selection!
