Letter 1

For my first letter of the year it seemed only fitting to use a letter I've been, in one form or another, writing to myself for the last 15 years (GAH! I'm getting old)! Basically, a letter to myself with my goals and ideas for 2016. I wrote one to keep on paper, but also included a few added ideas below.

Dear 2016,

2015 was busy, filled with lots of changes- but lots of amazing moments and opportunities. I can only hope 2016 will hold as many laughs and adventures.

My goals for 2016 are pretty straightforward:
  • Do more Professional Development (as much as possible)!
  • Go for more evening walks
  • Read 60 books by Dec. 31, 2016
  • Continue trying to be kinder EVERY day.
  • Make 2016 as fun-filled as 2015, don't shy away from adventures near or far.
I am going to strive to take things as they come, being a bit more patient with myself and just generally try and let my actions be guided by this quote:

More than anything, 2016 I hope you'll hold another year of laughter with the wonderful people I share this life with.

Do you ever write yourself letters? What are some of your goals or dreams for 2016?

  1. I used to write a letter to myself at the beginning and end of each year reflecting on my goals. I'm going to do seasonal goals this year. I'm focusing on simplifying and organizing this winter, but I am definitely going to try and read more too.
