What A Night!

So at about 8:00pm last night I was sitting happily on the couch working on a my sixth blog this week, about why I love hockey & the Sens, while watching the Game 5 of the Sens/Rangers game with a score of 1-0 for the Sens.

Then the power went out.. my blog was abandoned and we missed the remaining two periods of the game. Luckily I have a terrible app on my phone that gives me updates on the score. I checked about every three minutes for an update and was greeted with glorious news- THE SENS WON 2-0. That makes them up 3-2 in the series! AMAZING.

This wasn't set to be a story about hockey though. Around 1:00am as our power came back on and not long after that our Carbon Monoxide detector started going off repeatedly even after Jay silenced it. We got up & dressed and went outside to call 911, they told us to come back in & check the detector. Everything seemed fine, unless it went off again they told us it was probably just the detector resetting itself after the power came back on.

It went off again about 15 minutes later, we called again & they sent out a truck to test. They checked the place over and said we had no signs of Carbon Monoxide. After they left the alarm stopped going off and we were finally able to settle down and get some sleep.

Despite the perhaps minor annoyance of being woken up in the middle of the night by an alarm, if you don't have a Carbon Monoxide alarm I highly recommend you pick one up. Better safe than sorry!

As I am running on less sleep than usual and not quite awake I think I'll wrap this up for now.

Keep Smiling :)

  1. Oooooh, sounds like fun. Nothing like an alarm going off in the middle of the night. Glad it worked out OK, better safe than sorry.
