Just Live Your Life

Another week gone already?! Crazy. I actually had a fantastic week, now that I've re-adjusted to life as a student I am really enjoying it and actually learning valuable stuff.

I am four weeks into my program now, six weeks until placement starts. This week marked a change in my attitude, the first couple of weeks I was frustrated and it resulted in an overall grumpy attitude. Taking a step back and relaxing a little I am feeling much less overwhelmed by the program and thus I have a much happier attitude. It was an adjustment but I need this certification to get the jobs that I dream of, and it's actually really interesting (and a good test of my time management skills!)

Yup, this counts as work too! Not for grades, just for fun!
It's true what they say, you have to pick your attitude. It's one of those things the logical part of my brain understands, but the functional part forgets. Often. I am going to try to remind myself though, because being happy beats being grumpy every time.

So yeah, great week. Hectic with assignments and my first midterm of the year (which I think went well). Didn't do much in the way of exciting adventures, just school and grocery shopping. I also enjoyed the return of new TV episodes (though Grey's Anatomy let me down big time).

Jay had a good week at work, he is gaining more responsibility which is awesome but of course stressful at times. He's also still playing frisbee once a week which he is enjoying.

Friday we went shopping. I am the definition of mall rat, haha. Jay got some new jeans and I bought a couple of scarves.

Saturday I majorly procrastinated on doing homework, we went for a hike and then I spent many hours watching Drop Dead Diva on Netflix. I am going to be sad when I watch the last episode Netflix has, I really love that show. Oh, and we had some oven baked s'mores - delicious!

Today we went to a Home & Design show to continue dreaming about the home we have yet to buy. Between the show, Pinterest and our pre-existing dreams we are sure to be disappointed by every house we ever look at. But at least we have lots of ideas for renovations.

That about sums up the lack of adventures this week. It is a rainy Sunday here in O-Town so we're relaxing and watching The Simpsons

Pretty much sums up our weekend!
I'm craving a break from homework so don't be surprised if I start blogging all the time again. I'll admit I am incredibly indecisive  I should probably abandon making grand statements of intention for this blog because my intentions change, well daily.

This past week hopefully contained great joy, laughs and adventures for you. If not this week can be your fresh start, remember it's your game to play.

Keep Smiling :)
