This weekend was pretty laid back and boring in comparison to the past few weekends. It was nice to put our feet up and relax a little bit.
I ended up working a ten hour day instead of the usual eight on Thursday so by Friday night I was wiped. My shift also changed this week and I was working the opening shift, therefore we were both getting up earlier. Adding to this equation the crazy humidity here this past week, there were days it was up to 45C, no breeze. Lots of indoor play for the kiddos, and not much outdoor time for Jay & I.
He did brave the heat to play frisbee on Wednesday night, luckily there was some rain shortly before his game to break the heat (temporarily)!
Friday night we made guacamole, salsa and bruschetta and finished watching Scrubs on Netflix. Season 8 was amazing, season 9 was a total waste of time.
Saturday we slept in, Jay got a haircut, went to Ikea to wander around and eat fro-yo. We did laundry and I washed and dried both my student ID and debit card, that was awesome. My debit card was cracked so I literally got it replaced for the first time ever, 10 days ago, and now I'm going to have to go and get it replaced again. Embarrassing!
Saturday night there was an outdoor movie being shown in our neighbourhood! We missed all three last summer so we were excited to check it out. Best of all the movie this weekend was Bridesmaids, which I have wanted to see since it was released but never had the chance. We had some delicious 50cent popcorn and despite the dramatic drop back to seasonal temperatures enjoyed watching the movie outdoors.
All in all not a bad weekend, hope yours was full of fun in the sun!

Today we went for a mini hike along the Ottawa River, saw another deer and played some frisbee in the park.
All in all not a bad weekend, hope yours was full of fun in the sun!
