So, this week I had an amazing week at work, probably for the first time since I started. I'm feeling hopeful that it will be the right place for me to spend many days to come.
Jay was away for work this week, so I was left to keep myself entertained. I expected it to be harder than it was, especially given the long weekend. From what I've heard it sounds like he had a good, but busy trip. It was one of the longest trips he's taken since we've been here so we're both glad he's home.
I am not ashamed to admit I watched a lot of Netflix. The list includes, Hart of Dixie, New Girl, Hannah Montana, Drop Dead Diva, The Secret Life of The American Teenager. Clearly, I have excellent taste in television.
Much of my free time was organizing and creating resources for my classroom in the fall. I coloured, cut and laminated until my hands cramped. I feel like I've got a pretty good handle on my plans for the first month, it's going to be a challenge merging my style with the current style of the program but I'm excited to see where it takes us.
This morning I had a wonderful Skype date with my Dad, it was excellent to spend a few hours chatting with him. I love being independent but I sure miss home.
Otherwise life is pretty mundane at the moment. Hopefully after this relaxing weekend (for me anyway!) we will be ready to tackle life and have a few adventures.
