So Much To Be Thankful For

Ember Grey

Lately I've been feeling grateful for so many things in my life and this link-up feels like the perfect fit for me. I try to be grateful and to give thanks often,  but it is so easy to get wrapped up in the drama of life and lose sight of all the wonderful things happening every day.

Things I'm Grateful For This Week

*Having A Job - There have been many changes at work lately and it's been challenging to stay positive but I keep reminding myself how lucky I really am to have a job, especially one the allows me to do something I love everyday.

*Summer Vacation(s) - This summer has been filled with adventures for Jay & I and for that I am so grateful. We have been able to travel and to enjoy each other's company and try so many fun and different things this summer.
Vegas!
* The Ice Bucket Challenge - This may seem like a weird thing to be grateful for, but my mom has a neurological condition (different, but with similar symptoms to ALS) and through her experiences I was exposed to a few of the challenges facing individuals with ALS (I'm not claiming to be any sort of an expert). It has filled my heart with joy to see how many people are taking time to donate and raise awareness. If you haven't already donated you can do so here (US) and (CANADA)

* Our Awesome Family & Friends - I know this is a totally generic answer but I've never done one of these posts before and I can't leave these lovely people off my list. Getting married showed showed me just how blessed we are to have so many people who love us. I am filled with joy every time I think of all the wonderful people we have supporting us. If you're reading this friends (blog friends you count too!), know that we love you!

* Ladybugs - I've been chasing Ladybugs with the kids at work lately and have discovered that they are really fascinating creatures (Ladybugs, not children- though children are also pretty interesting)! We've found Ladybugs at different stages in the lifecycle and it has been awesome seeing the kids teach each other about what they are finding! Plus the garden is just FULL of them so everyone can find their own!

* Ottawa - We've been here for three years this week. It was scary moving here, but I have grown to love this city and I am grateful to live in a place that is so dynamic and exciting, even if it's reputation is "the city that fun forgot."
It's even fun to live here in the Winter (though very cold)!

What are you grateful for this week?

Keep Smiling :)
