I Love A Good Book

Today's Challenge: "What's on your current reading list? Or what have you read that you recommend?"

Currently Reading

The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks. I prefer The Notebook or Dear John (I actually love that one) but it's a pretty good easy read, though a little sad at times!

My Must Read List

Joey's Book, Yeah, Maybe

I am so excited to read this book, it definitely tops my list!  I just had such a pile of library books I'd been waiting months and months for, so I have been waiting for my pile to dwindle a bit. Check it out on amazon, here

Orange Is The New Black by Piper Kerman

I've been on the library waitlist for this one since Season 1 premiered. I'm starting to get close to the top of the list at least!

Shopaholic To The Stars by Sophie Kinsella

I just re-read the entire Shopaholic series and spent so much time laughing out loud, I love that crazy Becky Bloomwood. I can't wait for the latest instalment to be released this fall.

The Storyteller by Jodi Piccoult

Her books are often very predictable, but I still enjoy them. This one tells the story of a Holocaust Survivor and German Soldier, told through the interactions of the Holocaust Survivor's granddaughter and the elderly soldier. It was an interesting take on a topic I have spent years studying, though it occasionally veers off course a little bit.

Coming Clean by Kimberley Rae Miller

Her parents are hoarders, she struggles to deal with this. It is actually far more interesting and relatable than the descriptions make it sound. I really enjoyed this book and her writing style.

Other Recommendations

If you've never read The Hunger Games trilogy, Harry Potter, A Long Way Gone or The Freedom Writer's Diary I strongly recommend you get to a library. Don't delay.

I pretty much discover every book I read from a recommendation or Top 100 List so I'd love to hear any suggestions you've got for me!

I've been having trouble with Blogger so there is no Blog-tember button today but check out Bailey Jean and all the other lovely ladies linked-up posts here

Keep Smiling :)

  2. I LOVED The Storyteller. I love most of her books, but historical fiction is my favorite genre, especially the World War II era. I also love the Shopaholic books and I didn't know there was a new one coming - thanks!
