I'm actually feeling a little bad about these letters, as they're for two of my favourite pen pals and I can't believe I'm 50 letters in before sending them anything.
These two girls I met my first summer in Ottawa when I nannied for their family. Quickly they let me into their lives and made me feel like I was in fact part of their family, which was amazing since I was so far from my own.
Over the next three years I watched them grow, and continued to marvel at their talents and beautiful spirits. They are just the loveliest of girls, with the loveliest of parents. I often ate dinner at their house, staying after to do crafts, play games and read bedtime stories.
The hardest part of leaving Ottawa was leaving these girls behind, they're like my third and fourth little sisters and being away from them for what's closing in on a year is hard!
Sidenote: Aren't these cards and envelopes amazing? I love the overpowering floral patterns, they're just so happy!
