As I alluded to yesterday I have completed another one of the goals on my original list: Watch a complete TV Series on Netflix.
I'm not sure what watching 49 episodes of a cancelled comedy proves or accomplishes in my quest for happiness but I'm glad I did it!
I've spent the last 10 days watching the cancelled TBS comedy My Boys. It fits the mold for most comedies about childless adults and the trials and tribulations of their lives as told over a pitcher of beer.
I thought it was awesome, the cast is solid, the jokes are good and it held my interest for all 49 episodes! If you have Netflix I absolutely recommend it.
I've also become fascinated with all things zombie related and started watching The Walking Dead. There are only six episodes on Netflix and I've watched four of them so I'm prepared to be frustrated with the lack of closure in the near future.
Something else that brightened my day today was part of the street festival in our neighbourhood I mentioned yesterday. Elementary kids performed as part of their school "School of Rock"program like something out of the Jack Black movie.
It was awesome to see kids and their families so excited about the performance. It was also a pleasant reminder of what kids can accomplish when they have adult support (parental or otherwise!)
Hopefully you had a weekend filled with fun in the sun and are feeling refreshed and ready to tackle another week!
Tomorrow's goal is to once again become productive. Towards the end of last week I kind of lost interested in accomplishing much of the tasks that were on my To-Do list so this week I will need to make up for that.
Keep Smiling :)
haha iain and i have also gone through the entire series of My Boys on netflix.. such a good show! Also, you WILL go crazy when youve gone through all the walking dead episodes, so just stream the rest online haha
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing! I was super disappointed when we finished My Boys. I was mostly terrified during the first episode of Walking Dead but after that I was totally hooked! Once I catch up we will have to discuss the outrageousness of it all!
