Holiday Recap

I know, I'm about two weeks too late with my holiday recap. You've probably already forgotten you had a holiday. I took lots of pretty pictures though that deserve to be shared so, lucky you I'm sharing them anyway!

Because I've taken so many pictures in the past few weeks, and because I haven't blogged in almost a month (EPIC FAIL, I know, I know) I am going to spread the joy over two posts.

I hope you all had wonderful holidays surrounded with family and friends. I was lucky enough to go home with Jay and spend time with many of our closest friends and family which was very exciting. It was also exhausting, two weeks of constant action took a lot out of this lazy bum!

So, where to start. Let's go with the beginning. Jay finished his course, came home, we had what we thought was four days to relax, pack and finish shopping before heading home for Christmas. Then the day before we were supposed to leave our flight was CANCELLED! EEK! So we spent an extra three days in the snowy land of Ottawa before returning to our beloved homeland.

Luckily our Christmas Eve (morning) flight was on time, no problems and for me at least quite enjoyable. Jay will tell you I was horrible to travel with, dramatic and disorganized, but I remember it much differently.

Does this look like enough snow to cancel a flight? I don't think so!

While we were home Jay and I had the chance to spend time with some of our closest friends. Sadly due to schedules and silly snow storms we didn't get to catch up with everyone while we were home, guess that gives us motivation for another trip! We tried to squeeze in lots of time with Jay's family as well as his parents are in the process of a big move to NFLD.

We had some delicious made from scratch homemade pizza and garlic fingers with friends, I completely failed at photographing the deliciousness because I was too busy eating! While we were visiting I also managed to score a BREADMAKER! They were casually talking about giving it away and I just about jumped out of my pants with excitement. Man, I wanted it and luckily since we were driving back to Onterrible (jokes!) I had room to bring it back with me. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I promise to share pictures once I do!

Anyway, back to the holiday stories. We spent Christmas with our respective families, here are a few pictures of the shenanigans we got up to. I am proud to say I helped quite a bit with the turkey, I secretly love being domesticated.  Boxing Day Jay and I reunited to spend time with each others families which was lovely as well!

Lots of laughing made it hard to get a good picture, but I like this one!

Siblings! We spent way too much time playing with J-Dar's iPhone. Ok, I spent way too much time playing with it.
Nan's Christmas Tree (and a duck pillow!)
Instagramming and being reindeer.
I am getting sleepy now, and that's about all the pictures that I took during my trip home. I will share tales of my (ok, our)  adventures since we've returned to Ottawa sometime over the next few days.  I promise!

Keep Smiling :)
