Wishful Wednesday

I am feeling particularly wishful today. Not in a Christina Aguilera Genie In A Bottle kind of way, just in a regular way. As I write I'm realizing wishfulness is hard to explain, my brain is very tired today, you'll just have to trust me that I know what I'm trying to say. 

I wish... I had known my favourite disney star was in Ottawa at Chapters last night. I totally would have been there, Hannah Montana wig on and all. Yes, I'm talking about Miley Cyrus (and the lovely Liam Hemsworth). Oh, and yes I do own a Hannah Montana wig. My life is awesome. 

Yup. This happened. It was halloween at least. 

I wish... it would warm up (just a little) outside, it is mighty cold (-40C with the windchill) today. Two pairs of pants, legwarmers, cozy socks, a thermal shirt, sweater and two scarves were not enough! I know, Ottawa can get cold but this is chilly even by Ottawa standards. On the bright side, the canal should be good and frozen, and when temperatures return to seasonal -20C is going to feel positively balmy! 

I wish... Francine Pascal would hurry up and write more Sweet Valley Confidential books. I just finished the second one, The Sweet Life The Serial, and I need more! I have been a Sweet Valley addict since I was in jr. high and these new books are my newest guilty pleasure.   

I wish... I hadn't forgotten my notes at home today so I could have actually done some homework between classes today. I feel like today was a wasted day at least in terms of school work. 

I wish... Chicago Fire or Whitney was new tonight. Wednesdays can be rough and knowing I'll get to laugh during Whitney and enjoy some smoking hot drama (see what I did there?!) with Chicago Fire makes the day pass faster.

I wish... I was better at trivia. I am watching Jeopardy with Jay and K-Fran and I cannot get any of the questions right, my brain is too filled with song lyrics to quickly retrieve random history facts. Sometimes I disappoint myself, but then I listen to the radio and feel like a BAMF (urban dictionary it). 

I wish... I had discovered the song My Jeans by Jenna Rose back during my Friday phase. I'll admit it's not a lyrical gem, and this poor girl has been horribly mocked for the video (and she was just a kid when she made it) but it's is a pretty funny song. My favourite line is "HAHAHAHA, jack my swag." You can skip the whole video and watch a ten minute version of only that here. It is pretty darn funny.
