Thank You To The Academy....

The lovely Helen nominated me for the Liebster Award. Helen & I met during the Blog-tember Challenge and I find her absolutely inspiring. She is such a strong woman and has such a positive attitude, it means so much to me that she's sending some love my way!

I've been blessed enough to have been nominated for the Liebster a few times now (twice back in 2012) and once earlier this year, so I am going to take a few liberties with the rules.

I am going to answer the questions from Helen, and I'll make my own list but I'm going to skip nominating just because I've done the nominating before and I think my list would be very similar to the previous one. The only rule to be nominated is that you must have under 200 followers, so if you are reading this here post and have less than 200 followers please consider yourself nominated, you can answer my questions and if you let me know I'll share your link here on the blog!

**Completely unrelated to the award, if you want to share a little piece of yourself with my readers, check out the Let's Be Friends tab above ^ and maybe we can work out a guest blog or something!!**

Ok, Helen's Questions:

1. What does a wonderful day look like for you?
Hmmm.. I wake up to the sun shining, eat my chocolate cheerios for breakfast, spend the day galavanting around town with Jay and maybe spend the night curled up on the couch watching something really fantastic on Netflix (I'm in the market for Netflix suggestions!)

2. Name five things you're thankful for:
*My health
*My parents, and newly minted in-laws
*My wicked cool sister, and newly minted sister-in-law
*Having a job
*Jay, he's just great.

3. Tell me about the last time you felt really happy.
This week has been good to me, I've been laughing a lot and really solid full body laughs- just at regular things. Most recently, at a selfie a couple of my close friends took on a recent trip- the silly face was just so unexpected!

4. If you knew you couldn't fail, what would you do?
Open my own nature based childcare program with free programming for "at-risk" youth during evenings and weekends. Maybe they could help with the younger kiddos too. Maybe a better answer to this question would be, "Buy a lottery ticket."

5. If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you be doing today?
Confession time, I am ridiculously superstitious (when I feel like being) and I can't answer questions like this for fear of jinxing myself. I also cross the street to avoid black cats on the regular.

6. When is the last time you astonished yourself?
The last day of August. A bunch of my kids from last year were leaving the program and their parents had so many kind words for me, it was an unexpected realization that I did make the difference I'd hoped to make.

7. When is the last time you took a bold action?
This is going to sound silly, but I felt quite bold planning my Kindness CountsLink-Up for October. It felt like a huge idea and one that I quickly wanted to share and I did without second guessing myself which for me is quite bold. If you want more information please check it out here.

8. When was the last time you were brave?
Ummm.... never? I'm more of a cowardly lion. Maybe when we were camping a few weeks ago and went canoeing, I hate canoeing (and have a bit of a ridiculous water phobia) but we went and I loved it!

9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Easy, a penthouse suite at Caesar's Palace, surrounded by Chip-n-dales and Channing Tatum. All of which I can afford thanks to my successful reality TV series. Jay can come to (although when I invited him he didn't seem all that excited).

10. What's your favourite memory?
I have so many wonderful memories, but from childhood I have this vivid memory of going to see Beauty and The Beast with my dad when I was just tiny, we had to walk through Sears in a mall that no longer exists. One more dad memory, when I was like 5 or 6 I had to get "back to school needles" and freaked out so bad, I ran out of the doctors office and wrapped myself around a pillar in the waiting room, only to return a few days later to get the needles in exchange for a water baby.

Ok, my 10 questions:

1. If money and experience didn't matter, what's your dream job?
2. Dream Vacation: Where? When? How long? With who?
3. What's the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
4. What is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face?
5. What place or thing makes you feel the most relaxed?
6. You're feeling frustrated- what happened?
7. What TV series can you not resist?
8. Your thoughts on the Kardashians? (C'mon now, this list couldn't be all serious).
9. What's the funniest thing you've seen this week?
10. Your thoughts on spiders and other creepy crawlers?

Remember, if you want a nomination I've got lots of love to share and will happily share it with you!!!

Keep Smiling :)
