Today's prompt, "Most people don't know this but..."
.... I have a phobia of mustard. Yes, yellow squirt bottle or jarred mustard. The smell, the taste, the look, the whole experience gives me shivers. It developed sometime in high school, I'm not sure why. I joke a lot, but this is 100% true.
.... I stop to pick up the plastic rings from soda/beer cans off the side of the road (like from other people's garbage. Even when they are nasty dirty. I just get this pang of sadness thinking about all the birds, turtles, fish, dolphins and more that can get stuck in them.

.... I hate doing laundry, but don't mind doing dishes. I like the feeling of completion that I get from the dishes, but laundry is just so many tedious, repetitive tasks.

.... I am obsessed with Birkenstocks, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet. Oh, and related to this fact, I have 'Princess Feet' that just won't accept crappy shoes anymore. I just wish the non-sandal Birkenstock styles were less hideous.
..... I am a terrible singer, truly. I have no pitch or ability to carry a tune. Even kids at work have asked me not to sing. It's really pretty terrible.

I sing alllllll the time (sometimes I'll sing what I'm doing--crazy, right? like a narrative: i'm going to pick up the dog toy OW I TRIPPED OVER THE DOG BONE, now I'm hopping on one foot!!!" I will sing anything). But I am NOT a good singer. It hurts my own ears haha! And afraid of mustard? Now THAT'S something I've never heard before :)

ReplyDeleteOh, that photo of the tortoise hurts me :( Afraid of MUSTARD?? Only you ;) Total agreement on the laundry front - its so TEDIOUS! We should think of some ways to makes it FUN! And then make it go viral: "All the Bored Laundry Ladies" to Beyonce's beats!!!!! There'd be women the world over singing and dancing on laundry day! LOL!!!
