Another week gone in the blink of an eye. It was a good one, though the full moon had things a little crazy with the kiddos at work. I truly believe full moons impact how the kiddos behave.
Jay's Fall frisbee league started this week. I went to cheer him on, sadly the glitter on my signs didn't dry in time. They played a hard team but put up a good fight, coming in at about 19-11 for the other guys. I've started figuring out the rules so it's much more interesting to watch now.
I have finally set up some volunteer hours, something I've been meaning to do since we arrived two years ago. Starting in October I'll be tutoring/mentoring high school students one night a week. I'm really excited (and nervous) about trying something new. Jay is going to coach wrestling again this year as well, so that will be starting up soon.
Friday night we watched The Skulls on Netflix, ate leftovers and drank fancy drinks Nicole found on Pinterest. Oh, and we went to Wal-Mart because really who doesn't want to spend their Friday night at Wal-Mart?
Saturday Jay & I went out with one of my friends, her hubby-to-be and their adorable daughter. We went to an arcade/indoor jungle gym place, which was a lot of fun. Anytime I get to act like a kid again is a good time for me. After we were all played out we headed to Montana's for dinner which was also delightful, I had one heck of a burger!
Today Jay, Nicole & I decided to go apple picking. Aside from a little unexpected rain it was a lot of fun! We finally went early enough in the season that we could actually pick apples off the trees, rather than from the buckets like last year. The orchard also has a free corn maze, that we got mildly lost in, but with Jay's fine navigation skills we made it out just as the rain started pouring!
How was your weekend? Did you get up to anything fun or exciting?
Keep Smiling :)
