Happy Saturday!
I'm curled up in pj's watching The Holiday on W and it's brilliant! I had forgotten that I love this movie so much. Except it's feeding my pending Christmas fever, if it was legit I would totally be putting the Christmas tree up next weekend, how can you enjoy it if it's only up for a month? Every store we were in today had decorations out and they are so pretty, although I would agree that October is a wee bit early to be selling Christmas ornaments! J.Biebs & Mariah Carey re-recorded All I Want for Christmas Is You and it is as wonderful as one would expect!
I got my hair cut today, gone is that nasty mop in it's place a classy new bob, much like how my hair has looked over the past two years. I'll get a picture for you to see soon, it's a huge improvement!I also dyed it as close to my original color as possible. It finally cleared up all my previous attempts at blond. The lines of various color are gone and in their place is one color and that is as outstanding as the cut itself.
This week was good, chilly outside but not too bad! I had dinner Monday with some of my friends from Tim Horton's Camp, it was great to get together and catch up! Other than that it was just a regular week, work, eat, sleep repeat.
We finally have a kitchen table that allows for guests, that and the new couch certainly improve this place! The table was another Ikea purchase and again I got to watch Jason put it all together, I am excellent at providing moral support. The new furniture means we can finally have bros over to visit which is extraordinary [cue Joel Plaskett song.. "It was extraordinary, extra ordinary.. baby if you wanna be out of the ordinary come on and dance with me!"] :) Best of all, speaking of visiting bros, pretty soon K-Fran will be here! I cannot even wait!

Now that I referenced Joel Plaskett I've totally rekindled the flame, I think you should all YouTube the song Lightening Bolt, he hasn't released it on an album yet but played it live in all the shows Jay and I went to this past year. It's awesome. He is beyond amazing. Nothing makes me happier than a Joel Plaskett song. Living in Ottawa has greatly reduced the chances of seeing Joel live as frequently as Jay and I would like which is disappointing.
On the note of videos to look up on YouTube, How To Love by Lil Wayne is a beautiful song. I love that he did something you wouldn't expect from a rapper, it's a beautiful song. The video tells a story I didn't gather from the song itself but it is well done. I love Lil Wayne his is good at what he does.
Since the real reason you are reading this blog is to hear about the Sens you are in luck I have an update! They are now 6-5 this season, with FIVE wins in a row! Outstanding! We have tickets for one more game next weekend! My fingers are crossed that this winning streak lasts just a little longer.. well actually I'm hoping it lasts until next spring and I'm confident it will!
Today Jay and I attempted homemade potato chips for the third time. Once we perfect the recipe I will share it! It still needs a bit of work though, so far they are still a little too soggy. They are delicious nonetheless. I've made my second banana loaf last weekend, it's so easy and delicious I'm thinking of making it a weekly routine!
I do apologize.. my stories of adventure are lacking today, I just felt compelled to write a little something!
As always I miss you all lots and lots and lots! I hope you are doing well, happy and healthy!
Keep Smiling :)

As has become the usual I'm wrapping things up with another book review :) I wasn't lying we read A LOT. The library is an awesome institution, I love it. Except sometimes Jason can't read and be my friend, he gets so focused. haha.
All I do is read, read, read, no matter what! Got books on my mind I can't never give them up! Every time I step into the Library everybody's hands go up!
This week I read The Last Song by Nicolas Sparks. I am fairly certain I read somewhere that he wrote it with the intention Miley Cyrus would star in the film adaptation so is it really any surprise I loved it! Nicolas Sparks has actually never disappointed me, Dear John, The Notebook and A Walk To Remember are all brilliant and were well before the movies. This novel, not unlike his others is a wee bit heartwrenching. I cried not once, not twice, but three times in public on Friday as a direct result of the book and I was just lucky enough my breaks/bus rides broke up the sorrow so my tears were quiet and brief- otherwise it would have been embarrassing! Sparks just captures the essence of family bonds and falling in love so perfectly. Although a little predictable, about 60 pages in I had a pretty clear sense of how it would end it was captivating enough that I didn't want to quit. The ending was the perfect balance of sorrow and happiness.
Next on the docket.. Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult.
Kim your adorable...kinda like an Ellen Degeners and Oprah Winfrey all tied up in one.
