Everybody Dance Now!

Sunday night already! I'm not sure where the time has gone, or how it's taken me over a week to write an update! I had the most fabulous weekend in a long time. Visiting with K-Fed, 3.5 days off work, shopping till I dropped, and a relaxing day today. I am feeling very contented with life at the moment, hopefully it lasts!

We sent K-Fed home last night, it was beyond lovely to have her here, I've missed having girl time. We shopped and shopped, explored Parliament, and of course ate at the Cowboy Restaurant! That inspired a round of "Cowboy Scrabble" that proved to be much more difficult than one would expect. It was awesome hanging out and catching up, makes me miss home a little more, but it's only a little over a month until the holidays. It was also good to get out and see the world a little more, it's been a while since Jay and I had really explored Ottawa.

It's nice to reunite with a friend and realize that nothing has changed in the time spent apart. The past few months kind of got away from us, but in the new year I am going to make more frequent visits to my homeland, four months is a long time to not see the ocean!!

The Sens are back baby! They defeated Toronto Saturday night which is exciting for those of you also in the Sens army! Last weekend Jason and I went to another Sens game, they played the Buffalo Sabres. The game went into a shoot out and on the seventh shot sadly my Sens gave up the taste of victory. It was pretty suspenseful towards the end, it mostly made up for the lose. I've still been unsuccessful in converting Jason to the Sens Army, but the season is still young so I'm not giving up yet, he'll come around!

Jay and I spent four hours wandering the Canadian War Museum today. It's amazing that we've been there together at least three times now and there is still so much to see and learn. We spent a considerable amount of time looking at the special exhibit on War and Medicine, the exhibit ends on Tuesday so I'm glad we finally made it in to check it out. I could probably spend every weekend in that museum and be perfectly contented; Although not over lunch time, I was getting pretty hungry by the time we left.

As usual, I don't have a lot of news right now I just couldn't let another week go by without an update on our mundane life here in Ottawa. I don't even have a book review this week as I didn't work a whole week, so my bus reading time was cut back. I am working through The Blind Side so I'll post a review once I get it finished.

Overall things are quite swell here, I hope the same can be said in Nova Scotia. I've been reading The Chronicle Herald daily, lots of drama with Mr. Mayor as usual.

I almost forgot! I've come up with a brilliant new animal that I wish greatly was real. An underwater horse (and no I don't mean a Sea Horse!). Like a full sized horse that looks and acts just like one on land, but that lives underwater and frolics with the fish and whales! This is the third time I've talked about underwater horses in about four days and I still really wish they were a real thing. It would be a freaking beautiful animal.

That is the end of my news for today, I'll leave you with a joke:

Q: What do you call a sleeping dinosaur?

A dino-snore! HAHAHA Get it??!?!?

Actually I'll leave you with the LMFAO video for Sexy and I Know It, K-Fed if you haven't looked it up yet it's here for your entertainment now! Admit it you totally love this song!

Keep Smiling :)

  1. Things are swell here in Nova Scotia. The weather is fantastic. We had a lot of rain on Nov 11, but since then, mild temps and sunshine. Today was the first day I wore a jacket working outside and that wasn't until late afternoon.
