Insert Witty Title Here

So it's Saturday morning, and rather than watching cartoons like the rest of the world, Jay insists we watch The New Yankee Workshop on PBS. What a way to start the day. Last week at this time K-Fed and I were en-route to the mall, now I'm learning how to make a decorative single gateway for a backyard. It is fascinating... NOT! But Jay loves it so I suppose it's a trade for the endless hours of Kardashian viewing I've subjected him to (but he secretly likes the Kardashians! I don't secretly like workshops!)

Yesterday marked the end of an era, Regis' last day on Live with Regis and Kelly. I've not kept a secret my love for Regis, or the fact I think he's easy on the eyes so yesterday was a sad day for me. Made sadder only by the fact now that I'm a grown up and work everyday I haven't been able to watch the show in months and wasn't able to be home with a box of tissues to watch it this week.

Luckily the majority of his final show and highlights from the past week were available to watch on their website so I spent my Friday night catching up on Regis' last shows. I am not to proud to admit I sobbed like a baby during the tributes to him, no lie. Jason didn't really know what my issue was, and to be honest I'm not to sure myself, except that I love Regis and I'm a huge sap. Anyone who has ever watched Regis and Kelly in the same building as me has been lucky enough to witness firsthand how hilarious I find them, I laugh pretty much non-stop, loudly and obnoxiously! (I know you're thinking Kim obnoxious..no way!!)

If you haven't watched his final episodes I think you should, they are brilliant and funny. I did finally get an answer to my question about how long Gelman's been there and it's been since 1983, pretty much since the beginning of Live which is pretty incredible in itself. Hopefully they pick a co-host for Kelly who is comparable to Regis in awesomeness!

With Regis and Oprah leaving TV in the same year the playing field is opening up for me to take their places, I mean who really watches Anderson anyway?? I suppose if I want a TV show I should probably keep practicing with the vlogs (that's a video blog!) I know I've failed epically as an vlogger thus far, but like always I will try harder!

This week was pretty great! Aside from Friday Ottawa was not too cold this week which always makes me happy! K-Fed you really were here for the 3 coldest days in weeks! I had coffee with an old friend this week, aside from getting totally lost on my way there it was awesome! It's always nice to catch up and reconnect with friends you've not seen in a while especially when you finally live in the same place again!

As for baking, I've been slacking on that front! Before K-Fed came I did bake some banana bread but we only had two bananas which I've learned isn't quite enough it was kind of dry! Usually it's much more delicious. This week I also made some fantastic frozen pie and it turned out perfect since it doesn't need bananas! haha

Perhaps I will try and back something new and exciting from the baking "Book of Horrors" K-Fed gave me before we moved. Everything is just so complicated, which is kind of the opposite of my baking skills, but it might be time for a challenge!

New Yankee Workshop is over so it's apparently time for us to get on the road for a Saturday filled with adventure (or cereal shopping!)

Keep Smiling :)
