Today's post has nothing to do with quotes (I haven't abandoned that project, I just feel like shaking things up a bit!)
Instead, I feel like sharing something completely different! Prepare yourself to be fascinated by what is on my iPod! On my walk to work this morning I was thinking about how much my music reflects my eclectic personality. I've got a little bit of everything, from rock to country and of course a healthy dose of pop and rap.
Ok, I'm going to press shuffle and share the first ten songs that come on!
Blur by Britney Spear- R.H & I reviewed the album Circus for The Journal when it came out
Right Now (Na Na Na) by Akon- This one always makes me want to dance
This is Real This Is Me by Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas (Camp Rock Soundtrack)- One of my more embarassing song choices, when I'm in the right mood I rock out to this.
Leaving on a Jet Plane by The Cast of Glee- The song reminds me of Tim Hortons Camp, though the Glee version isn't my favorite.
Rock N' Roll Pollution by The Danny Mainstreet Band- I'm not sure they even exist anymore, we saw them at Keith's Fest in 2004 but the album I have is pretty great.
Get Low by Flo Rida ft. T-Pain- Reminds me of dancing at the Dirty D in Halifax.
7 Things by Miley Cyrus- No surprise, I still love me some Miley dance beats.
That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings- I'm hit or miss with this song, sometimes I love it, other times it gets on my nerves.
Passera by Il Divo- I am seriously obsessed with Il Divo, they are gorgeous and have incrediable voices to match. I don't often go for mellow music but I could listen to them all day long.
Until the time is Through by 5ive- I have had this 5ive cd since I was probably about twelve and I could listen to it on repeat. I still remember some of the dance moves we used to make up.
Overall this is a fairly good representation of my musical tastes, and about covers the insanity that is my life. The only thing I noticed obviously missing is Joel Plaskett and my love, J.Biebs. Given that I probably have over 100 Joel songs on my iPod it's surprising none made the list.
That's all I have the energy to share tonight! My babysitting children and I had a big day adventuring to the Nature Museum here in Ottawa. It is an awesome museum, definitely worth visiting if you are in Ottawa but it was a long, high energy day!
Keep Smiling :)
No Sugarland? No George Strait? No ELVIS??? Oh c'mon...what are you doing? No wonder you describe yourself as "eclectic"
