I've had this posted on as a note on my Facebook page for years. Like since Facebook began. It originally came from one of those emails that get forwarded around the internet, but I still think it's beautiful and wanted to share it tonight.
"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You
will have your heart broken probably more than once and
it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so
remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight
with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things
an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too
many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never
been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be
afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never
begin.
Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to chance."
Perhaps a little cliche, but I like it. I try and remind myself I'm wasting precious time when I get in a grumpy mood, but sometimes it's tough to snap out of it!
Unrelated Life News: Jay and I are able to sleep in our bedroom again, we've throughly cleaned it and run the de-humidifer constantly for a week and all the nasty mold is gone! Still no drawers under our bed so it's mostly a mess but it's better than living in the spare bedroom.
We also re-signed our lease for another year, the first lease I've ever re-signed so it's fairly exciting! I know you are probably thinking, why are they staying if there is mold??!?! But it was just a tiny bit and mostly caused by an ancient de-humidifer and not running it often enough. Otherwise our apartment is perfect for us. I am just thankful not to have to pack and unpack all my stuff in a month, I've done that enough in the last couple of years!
I've stolen enough of your Friday night now. Enjoy the weekend :)
I feel like this picture of Niagara Falls fits tonight, so here it is! |
Keep Smiling :)
Great post Kim and very inspirational. I feel inspired...glad you resigned your lease, because I can find my way back to that place. Ha Ha, not that we are coming back anytime soon, so don't worry.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very inspiring post. I sincerely love it!
