Hectic Days Ahead

My first week of placement is done! Now to get through the remaining four weeks with my sanity mostly intact. Ok, that's mostly a joke, my sanity was gone long ago!

Placement is going well thus far, it is so great to be back in the classroom. It's exhausting balancing a nine hour day with homework every night, but I'm enjoying it so far. The weather has been great which makes the days fly by as there is lots of outdoor play. This coming week I have to start leading more activities on my own and have a visit from my faculty supervisor so it should be another very busy, mildly stressful week.

On a related front, I've recently been introduced to the Rockabye Baby albums. They are rock songs converted to lullabies, and totally awesome! If you need some mellow beats, I recommend looking it up on YouTube for sure!

Jay had the staples taken out of his leg this week, so he's firmly on the road to recovery which is wonderful. He's still taking it easier than usual, but all in all things seem to be healing up nicely.

This week was busy, but largely uneventful so there isn't much in the way of news to share.

Our wedding plans are still quite stagnent, nothing crazy exciting happening in that realm just yet. We have lots of ideas, but not a lot of time to put them in motion at the moment.

Friday night after an unpleasant Costco experience, I convinced Jay to stop at the self-serve fro yo place, Menchies. Yes this may be my third blog in a row that talks about self serve fro yo, but seriously it is so good! The store was pretty crowded though so it wasn't the most relaxing date ever.

Saturday we frolicked to the mall, and it was totally bananas! Seriously, Christmas is still over a month away but the mall was jam packed. I love the mall, but it was hard to deal with all the crowds and everyone (including me!) was soooo grumpy.

We went out for Sushi last night to celebrate one of my Ottawa friend's birthday! I feel confident now that I am not a Sushi fan, but it was a lot of fun to get out and socialize.

I must return to my homework now, and should probably finish up the laundry too. What an exciting life I lead, you know you are jealous!

He'll never admit it, but he actually had fun.

Four nine hour days and I'm not looking so hot!
Keep Smiling :)

  1. Is Jason growing a moustache for Movember? Or just because it looks cool?

  2. His original reasoning was for Movember, but he's getting quite attached so it may stick around for a while yet.
