It's been a while since I took this long of a break but when there is nothing to say, why say anything at all? Things have been hectic, busy, stressful, relaxing and any other adjective you can think of.
I'm done school (finally!) and employed and Jay was promoted, so it's been an exciting few weeks. So many changes, accomplishments and new responsibilities!
I returned last night from a week long visit in my homeland and I had the most amazing time. I was able to do almost everything I intended and hoped to do. Best of all, aside from Saturday the weather cooperated and the sun shone almost every day! The only lame part was leaving Jay for the week I was having so much fun I wanted to be able to share it with him.
Now that I'm back home in the cap-city I am missing the ocean views and lazy days sitting with my family. When I think about going home I always play this Bon Jovi & Jennifer Nettles song over and over in my head. It sums up my feelings about returning home so perfectly and makes me feel so nostalgic and happy.

I am so happy and thankful tonight for my family, friends, Jay and my beloved hometown. I am so proud to be from where I'm from and eagerly await the time when I can once again call it home 365 days a year. For now I'll settle for fun-filled visits and next time I'll make sure Jay comes along to share the joy!
Hopefully the recent changes will result in a more "settled" life for us and therefore more time to blog, and more stories to share. I already shared most of my photos from the trip, so I won't bore you with looking at them a second time.
Have an amazing week and remember YOLO! I know, you just rolled your eyes at me. I don't blame you.
Keep Smiling :)
