I am loving Summer 2013, we have been doing so many cool (and different things). Rarely are the weekends boring!
Last week was a busy one, I was out two nights in a row for dinner with friends. Yes, one of those nights we ate only fro-yo for dinner but we're grown ups and that is one of the perks! The second night I shared some delicious Lone Star salsa with a couple of friends from Tim Hortons Camp. It was great to catch up!
Jay played frisbee again this week and was his awesome self. He enjoyed a couple of nights without my never-ending chatter I think. Sometimes we spend just too much time together so a break is nice.
Friday night we went to Parliament Hill for the Mosaika light show. It is a free nightly show, basically the story of Canada, and this year I think the show is the best yet (this was the third year we've gone, fourth year it has run). We wandered the market, ate some Canada and lounged on the grass at Parliament which is something everyone should do at least once.
Saturday we spent the night watching a local theatre company's production of Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor. I am far from a Shakespeare fan but I like being outdoors, Jay actually enjoyed the play. Best of all it didn't start to rain until the play ended.
Today I skyped with my BFF, we went for a hike (and saw a porcupine!) and played some soccer in the park. We also tackled two weeks worth of unfolded laundry, it took almost an hour, and three episodes of The Big Bang Theory to get it all put away. Ridiculous.
Alrighty, that's enough words for a Sunday night. Check out some pictures from our lives this week. Our phone cameras seem a little less functional than usual so I apologize for the terrible graininess of these pictures.

A hot air balloon I've seen almost every morning on my way to work. It's cool. |
 |
Waiting to get our groceries the skies just opened up, we waited ten minutes and then it cleared. I love Ontario rain, it passes so quickly! [Sidenote: That is a 6 year old MacPass reflected in the windshield] |

Some nice graffiti I found. |

Creamsicle Smoothies. Orange juice, mango chunks and vanilla frozen yogurt. These are seriously delicious, and addicting! |
 |
An early morning fashion shoot, I wanted a picture of my new teal khakis. My new favourite pants for sure. |
 |
On the left side you can see the back of the porcupine. He walked straight across the trail in front of us but we were too intrigued to get the camera out! It was pretty darn cute. |

Hanging out at the Shakespeare play. |

The pile of laundry we tackled this afternoon. Lesson Learned. |
Keep Smiling :)
I'll let my laundry get out of control sometimes too. Then when I finish it I wonder why I waited so long. Love that you had fro-yo for supper!
ReplyDeleteInteresting! And that was a big pile of laundry!!! We do our laundry twice a week but it seems we never run out of a big pile.
